The Story

Their Whistler Engagement Session was always going to be in contrast to their wedding.  Kelsey & Michael fall in love with the stunning architecture at the Whistler Audain Art Museum by Patkau Architects.  Knowing that their outdoor wedding celebration was to take place at the exclusive golf range at Fairmont Chateau Whistler in the Summer of 2018 we felt the contrast between the two venues  and seasons was going to be exactly what we wanted.

The Idea

The combination of both E-Session and Wedding in opposite looking venues was the perfect way for us to showcase their two scenic loves, clean modern lines with a chic vibe from the Museum setting while also having the outdoor rustic elegance of their wedding venue.

The Planning

Kelsey also took my recommendation by arranging to combine her hair and makeup trial with Kerry Waring earlier that day ensuring that both the look and feel she envision for her wedding was looked after while relaxing the style in the final stages to suit our engagement photoshoot. Kerry beautifully advised Kelsey on both the best practice for skin care for our winter e-session as well as providing her with some key tips on how to optimize the few months left until her summer wedding.

The Result

Well needless to say, we broke the ice, had a blast and started getting excited for their upcoming wedding with plans of warmer weather.  We even decided to add a second location to provide them the full winter experience with a little cold wind and rustic outdoor vibes.
